Gypsys, Tramps and Thieves

I was born in the wagon of a traveling show
My Mama used to dance for the money they’d throw
Papa would do whatever he could
Preach a little gospel
Sell a couple bottles of doctor good

Gypsys, tramps and thieves
We’d hear it from the people of the town
They’d call us gypsys, tramps and thieves
But every night all the men would come around
And lay their money down

Picked up a boy just south of Mobile
Gave him a ride, filled him with a hot meal
I was sixteen, he was twenty-one
Rode with us to Memphis
And Papa woulda shot him if he knew what he’d done

Gypsys, tramps and thieves
We’d hear it from the people of the town
They’d call us gypsys, tramps and thieves
But every night all the men would come around
And lay their money down

I never had schoolin’ but he taught me well
With his smooth southern style
Three months later I’m a gal in trouble
And I haven’t seen him for a while, uh huh
I haven’t seen him for a while, uh huh

She was born in the wagon of a traveling show
Her Mama had to dance for the money they’d throw
Grandpa’d do whatever he could
Preach a little gospel
Sell a couple bottles of doctor good

Gypsys, tramps and thieves
We’d hear it from the people of the town
They’d call us gypsys, tramps and thieves
But every night all the men would come around
And lay their money down

Gypsys, tramps and thieves
We’d hear it from the people of the town
They’d call us gypsys, tramps and thieves
But every night all the men would come around
And lay their money down

Black Cat

All the lonely nights I spend alone
Never around to love me you’re always gone
‘Cause you’re hanging out breaking the rules
Oh the man has come looking for you

(You’re a rebel now) Don’t give a damn
(Always carrying on) With the gang
(I’m trying to tell you boy) It’s a mistake
(You won’t realize) ‘Til it’s too late

Don’t understand why you insist
On ways of living such a dangerous life
Time after time you stay away
And I just know that you’re telling me lies

Black cat nine lives
Short days long nights
Living on the edge
Not afraid to die
Heart beat real strong
But not for long
Better watch your step
Or you’re gonna die

You’re so together boy but just at a glance
You’ll do anything if given a chance
Scheming, planning lies to get what you need
So full of promises that you never keep

(Don’t you tell yourself) That it’s okay
(Sick and tired of) All of your games
(And you want me to stay) Better change
(Makes no sense to me) Your crazy ways

Don’t understand why you insist
On ways of living such a dangerous life
Time after time you stay away
And I just know that you’re telling me lies

Don’t understand why you insist
On ways of living such a dangerous life
Time after time you stay away
And I just know that you’re telling me lies

Black cat nine lives
Short days long nights
Living on the edge
Not afraid to die
Heart beat real strong
But not for long
Better watch your step
Or you’re gonna die

Black cat nine lives
Short days long nights
Living on the edge
Not afraid to die
Heart beat real strong
But not for long
Better watch your step
Or you’re gonna die

Jeopardy

Here’s how my life works.

I am Sistercat, right? So anyway, it crossed my mind in a romantic comedy sort of way that what if I went to mistercat.com and there was a guy blogging there that had a lot in common with me and we could be friends, maybe best friends, because you know I’m keeping an eye out for my Mistercat. Think of all we could share! So I went there and I laughed and laughed and I laughed. Go ahead, go there and I will wait.

(Jeopardy music)

Funny, huh? You shoulda seen my face.

Can’t You See

I’m gonna take a freight train down at the station, Lord
I don’t care where it goes
Gonna climb a mountain, the highest mountain
And jump off, nobody gonna know

Can’t you see, oh can’t you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doing to me
Can’t you see, can’t you see
What that woman, she been doing to me

I’m gonna find me a hole in the wall
I’m gonna crawl inside and die
’Cause my lady now, a mean ol’ woman, Lord
Never told me goodbye

Can’t you see, oh can’t you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doing to me
Can’t you see, can’t you see
What that woman, she been doing to me

I’m gonna buy a ticket now, as far as I can
I ain’t never coming back
Ride me a south-bound all the way to Georgia now
‘Til the train it run out of track

Can’t you see, oh can’t you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doing to me
Can’t you see, can’t you see
What that woman, she been doing to me

Can’t you see, oh can’t you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doing to me
Can’t you see, oh can’t you see
What that woman, she been doing to me

Baby Come Back

Spending all my nights all my money going out on the town
Doing anything just to get you off of my mind
But when the morning comes I’m right back where I started again
And trying to forget you is just a waste of time

Baby come back
Any kind of fool could see
There was something in everything about you
Baby come back
You can blame it all on me
I was wrong and I just can’t live without you

All day long wearing a mask of false bravado
Trying to keep up the smile that hides a tear
But as the sun goes down I get that empty feeling again
How I wish to God that you were here

Baby come back (oh baby)
Any kind of fool could see
There was something in everything about you
Baby come back
You can blame it all on me
I was wrong and I just can’t live without you

Now that I put it all together
Give me the chance to make you see
Have you used up all the love in your heart
Nothing left for me
Ain’t there nothing left for me

Baby come back (oh darling)
Any kind of fool could see
There was something in everything about you
Baby come back (listen baby)
You can blame it all on me
I was wrong and I just can’t live without you

I was wrong and I just can’t live

Before He Cheats

Right now he’s probably slow dancing
With a bleached-blond tramp
And she’s probably getting frisky
Right now he’s probably buying
Her some fruity little drink
‘Cause she can’t shoot whiskey

Right now he’s probably up behind her
With a pool stick
Showing her how to shoot a combo
And he don’t know

I dug my key into the side
Of his pretty little souped up 4-wheel drive
Carved my name into his leather seats
I took a Louisville Slugger to both headlights
Slashed a hole in all four tires
Maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats

Right now she’s probably up singing some
White-trash version of Shania karaoke
Right now she’s probably saying, “I’m drunk”
And he’s a-thinking that he’s gonna get lucky

Right now he’s probably dabbing on three dollars
Worth of that bathroom Polo
Oh and he don’t know

That I dug my key into the side
Of his pretty little souped up 4-wheel drive
Carved my name into his leather seats
I took a Louisville Slugger to both headlights
Slashed a hole in all four tires
Maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats

I might’ve saved a little trouble for the next girl
‘Cause the next time that he cheats
Oh you know it won’t be on me
No not on me

‘Cause I dug my key into the side
Of his pretty little souped up 4-wheel drive
Carved my name into his leather seats
I took a Louisville Slugger to both headlights
Slashed a hole in all four tires
Maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats
Oh maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats
Oh before he cheats
Oh

I love, love to sing this song but I do not identify with it or recommend that anyone do such things. I am more the type when there’s any kind of bullshit to leave slowly and quietly because if you don’t care, I don’t. Yeah, you wish I would wreck your truck. ~ T.

Hold The Line

It’s not in the way that you hold me
It’s not in the way you say you care
It’s not in the way you’ve been treating my friends
It’s not in the way that you stayed ’til the end
It’s not in the way you look or the things that you say that you’ll do

Hold the line
Love isn’t always on time (whoa whoa whoa)
Hold the line
Love isn’t always on time (whoa whoa whoa)

It’s not in the words that you told me girl
It’s not in the way you say you’re mine ooh
It’s not in the way that you came back to me
It’s not in the way that your love set me free
It’s not in the way you look or the things that you say that you’ll do

Hold the line
Love isn’t always on time (whoa whoa whoa)
Hold the line
Love isn’t always on time (whoa whoa whoa)

It’s not in the words that you told me
It’s not in the way you say you’re mine ooh
It’s not in the way that you came back to me
It’s not in the way that your love set me free
It’s not in the way you look or the things that you say that you’ll do

Hold the line
Love isn’t always on time (whoa whoa whoa)
Hold the line
Love isn’t always on time
(Love isn’t always on time)
Hold the line
Love isn’t always on time
(Love isn’t always, love isn’t always on time)
Hold the line
Love isn’t always on time
Love isn’t always on time
Love isn’t always on time
Love isn’t always on time (whoa whoa whoa)
